Under the guise of “retrenchment,” the Wright State board of trustees is threatening to layoff faculty and replace them with unrepresented employees that could be fired for any reason or no reason. This is an attack on academic freedom and the core role of faculty. It will erode the quality of the education at Wright State and set a dangerous precedent for other Ohio institutions, including UC.
