Partial personal leaves may be taken with reduced responsibilities and partial pay. Faculty Members on partial personal and child-rearing leaves can have reappointment/tenure decisions waived until the terminal year (Article 19).
Special leaves (Article 20) may be granted for the adoption of a child. Though not guaranteed in the contract, such leaves may be taken with pay at the approval of the unit head and appropriate administrators. Faculty are encouraged to request such a leave with pay and to contact the AAUP for assistance if necessary.
Effective February 1, 2002, changes in prescription drug coverage as follows: Include coverage of female contraceptive in all three health plans.
Faculty can now request an individual salary adjustment for purposes of correcting inequities due to gender or race.
